HTS ‘wear it pink’ for Breast Cancer Now – WOW, what a fabulously pink day we had here at HTS in support of Breast Cancer Now Charity, it was amazing to see all staff getting involved and having some Friday fun all in aid of such a worthy cause.

Staff paid £1 to wear pink, games were held throughout the day plus one member of staff Susan baked some wonderful Ribbon and Boobie cakes which were sold to raise additional money. In total we raised over £400.00 which is fantastic.

We awarded prizes for Best Dressed Individuals, Most Fabulously Pink Team, Best team effort and Engagement, as you can see from the photos everyone made a great effort.

Every October, people all over the world show their support for those affected by breast cancer and Wear it Pink.

Why do we wear it pink?

This year, around 55,000 women and 370 men in the UK will hear the words ‘it’s breast cancer’ and around 11,500 women and 80 men will die from it.

With your support, Breast Cancer Now believe they can create a future where, by 2050, everyone diagnosed by breast cancer lives – and is supported to live well. With every bit of pink worn to raise awareness and vital funds, that future is being made possible.

I wear it pink to honour those who sadly are no longer with us. Wear it pink is so important in a society where breast cancer is becoming one the most common cancers – early detections save lives!
