HTS and Jewson bring a little cheer to local families with Rainbow Services and their Community Hub. The Community Hub is a new, essential service for all Harlow residents. It is a partnership between Rainbow Services, Harlow Council, Mind in West Essex, Harlow Foodbank, Citizens Advice and Volunteer Centre Harlow. The Hub offers a range of services for residents affected by crisis situations, as well as information on community, physical and social activities and access to volunteering and workshops.
There were four local families identified as having been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the rising cost of living who would have otherwise struggled to afford Christmas food. With donations from HTS and Jewson, 14 children and 4 adults have been helped with a variety of food including fresh fruit and vegetables, turkey, Christmas crackers, Christmas baking ingredients and other Christmas treats.
One family commented “honestly, you have just given us a Christmas thank you, you really have turned our Christmas around”
HTS proudly continues to support the local community in partnership with business partners and local charities.
